Keno Rural Fire Protection District had a very safe year and did not experience a large catastrophic fire in our district. The district responded to several small incidents and with coordinated efforts with wildland partners, we were able to keep all incidents small and easily controlled. 

Fuels crews had a busy season with chipping and brush clearing. Next year, our focus will be on trees that are within 10 feet of primary structures. Ensuring the foliage is kept up and distanced appropriately to reduce risk of fire spread.

We are still working on address signage, if your home or driveway needs one please reach out to the department. The address signs are reflective and when placed on either the right hand or left hand side of the entrance to your property it assists the department crews in quickly identifying the correct location in the event of an emergency or call for service.
